Saturday Inspiration

Hiya, its that time again for my Saturday inspiration.
It is Halloween spookyness lol and to keep with the theme I have created a softer look for Halloween ,and a little more non traditional too;after all that is what crafting is all about.
I have used Morgan's beautiful Red Witch as my inspiration and coloured her in Polychromos pencils which are my favourite tool.
I have kept the Halloween theme going with black lace to represent all those cobwebs and added papers from a Tonic paper pad which I thought suited the project..I finished with a pop of red in the ribbon roses and the red faux pearls.. The girls on the team have also done some brilliant work too so I hope between all of us  you have had a Wickedly Inspirational Experience.
Hugs Christine xx

Such a pretty fairy and I love the embroidered border.

I love Zubaida's style. She colored the image so

I love how the frame, snowflakes and mittens all coordinate so beautifully
with the addition of the white embossing powder...
It is a very pretty effect and gives it a soft pretty look.

Challenge #10 Halloween

Before we get to this fortnight's challenge I would like to introduce you to the newest member to the Creative Team - Arlene
I had never crafted until my sons were 8,10 and 12 years old. I discovered ceramics with a neighbor at this time and proceeded to create and paint green ware ceramics and marketed them on a small scale to flower shops in my local area. Lots of dust and a downward swing in the economy lessened my interest overall. I then wanted a craft that took up less space, so I turned to beading. I still dabble in beading now and then but most of my free time is taken up with creating paper projects, especially cards. I have had an off and on love of paper and stamps with the oldest stamp in my collection dating back to 1995, but it wasn't until 5 years ago that I really became an avid card maker. I also discovered in this time that I also love coloring; I love how you can be completely engrossed in the task at hand, seeing and hearing nothing but the project you are working on.

Last fortnight we celebrated all things pink, this fortnight we are celebrating all things scary. So get in touch with your inner witch, zombie and or ghost and enter this fortnights challenge.

The theme for this fortnight is
Halloween
And now onto the amazing projects presented to you by Cathie and the girls showcasing Morgan Fitzsimons images. For more information on any of the projects, simply click any of the girls names to be taken to their personal blogs.

Christine's Inspiration Project

Hello everyone, we have had some new additions to our Creative Team.  I would like to introduce you to is Christine Ingham, who will be providing you with more inspiration projects on a Saturday using Morgan's and Judy's images.
Here is a little bit about Christine.
I have been very lucky to have been very arty and creative since I was a small child. As I grew up I made clothes and doll houses for my dolls and did well in art. I loved sewing, crochet and knitting and anything that involved changing things. I turned to card making about ten years ago when my hubby was ill and it has overtaken my life in a way most of you would understand lol!. It is  now impossible for me to walk past a craft shop he he.My biggest love now is my pencils now that I have become a pencil colorist.

so now onto Christine's inspirational project:
She has created this amazing step card using Morgan's Ivy Greenleafdrawing inspiration from the colours of fall. Leaving it sentiment free so she can then personalize it when she has decided on the recipient.
Here is a closeup of Christine's amazing pencil work.

 Shirl
Hello my name is Shirl Nases; I live on the Big Island of Hawaii.  I’m married to the most wonderful hubby in the world.   Unfortunately I’m a SAHW (stay at home wife) or you might say lady of leisure, LOL!   I previously worked as a Dispatcher/Supervisor for a Petroleum Co on the island for 16 years until hubby said I could stay home and do the things I love and one of them is crafting.  I know, he spoils me rotten!  I’ve been crafting for several years prior but never took it really serious until I stood home.  Lots of my family and friends kept encouraging me to get my crafting show cased until I met a friend that was into blogging and introduced me to blog land.   Since then I’ve been blogging just almost 4 years now and love every moment of it.  I love anything do with paper, love learning new techniques and ideas and the best part meeting so many talented people out there.  Everyone has their own special talents and so inspiring.  And also on my spare time my two fur babies keep me on my toes, a cat name (Mimi) and a new pup ( Taco) and (6) lovebirds.   And yard work is another passion of mines….Can’t you tell I’m just as busy staying at home..LOL!
